Leicester Hard Drive Data Recovery
I have a Toshiba 2TB external hard drive that I bought around 3 years ago. It used to work fine but I recently plugged it into my laptop and I could hear incessant clicking sounds. As I work in Leicester and I figured that this was down to a hardware issue and unplugged it immediately. There are some very important files on there which I would like to try my best to recover but I don’t have the expertise or the tools to do it. Could you please help with this – I can call in at St George’s Way in Leicester if convenient?
Recover Wedding Photos and Videos
Segate 1tb expansion usb hdd, after opening the plastic enclosure to inspect, the connection from the pcb to the platter area is damaged (burnt out), happy to send a photo via email.
To keep costs low, I have the exact same drive (new and unused) and can send both in to use as components for the damaged one. The damaged one has video files on it from a wedding. I’m in London
Recover Bitlocker Password
The scenario that you describe where bitlocker has been enabled, possibly by an update, has happened. However you also state one can “[extract] the required cryptographic keys from the system the Bitlocker volume is running on. These include RAM captures, hibernation and page files, escrow and recovery keys.” A friend and myself have visited (in-person) Microsoft and Ontrack where they have not been able to help, and so the last options are seemingly to contact dell or Microsoft by phone (it is a Dell Inspiron 7000) as they might know more than the previous people we have spoken to. Failing that we might try some of the manage-bde tools. Would you suggest anything more, or is there anything you moght try that would be worth me popping in to the Data Clinic’s London office?
